When acting as an educational supervisor for a GP trainee in a hospital post, a trainer is entitled to apply for £479 remuneration per 6 month period for each trainee the trainer is ES too.
This needs to be claimed within 1 month of either the interim ESR or full ESR being signed off. Reminders do get sent out but its best if as soon as the ES's i-ESR/ESR is signed off that trainers submit their 6 monthly claims to HEIW.GPTraining@wales.nhs.uk
The Gwent and South Powys GP Scheme has a peer run Buddy programme to help new ST1s settle into the scheme. You'll receive more information on this prior to starting. The handbook below has been created to work alongside the programme.
