eportfolio and AiT
Please register as an AiT (associate in training) with the RCGP as soon as possible. Without this, you will not be able to access your e-portfolio. Your entries into the e-portfolio are crucial to you having a successful outcome to your training. Please take this seriously and ask your Educational Supervisor (ES) for advice on how best to fill these in. You should fill in a minimum of 1 entry a week, and all your study days and meetings with your ES must also be entered on your eportfolio. You should be attached to both your ES and Clinical Supervisor (CS) on your eportfolio, and obviously these will change as you move posts. With each new post, please check your ES and CS are correct. If they are not, please contact Rebecca Gardiner at the Cardiff Deanery with the correct details and she will update them for you:
WPBA
WPBA in hospital posts includes CBD, MSF, mini-Cex and your Clinical Supervisors report. These are assessed by secondary care. Your ES will look at these assessments and use them to inform your ES report, which will in turn inform the ARCP panel. These are listed in your e-portfolio or via the RCGP website (see bottom of homepage for link)
Who to contact if you have a problem
If you have a problem in your training, please contact your ES in the first instance. If they are unable to help, they will involve Sasha. Administrative problems should be addressed to Helen Hole, NHH (see contact page for details of Helen and Sasha's emails and phone nos).
The Medical Performers List
Please remember that you must apply to be included on the Medical Performers List at least 3 months before you take up your GP placement. Inclusion on the list is complicated and lengthy and requires and enhanced CRB check. To receive your pack, please phone 01495 332093/ 332124 or email:
